Our Mission
JACK Quartet champions new string quartet music and the transformative experiences that it creates.
We do this in three ways: we perform—to celebrate the genre and introduce it to audiences world-wide; we commission—to expand the repertoire and nurture creative voices; and we teach—to strengthen skills, build confidence, and share our enthusiasm for experimental chamber music.
Our Values
Curiosity
We are curious about the experiences and perspectives of audiences, performers, and composers. This drives our music and how we experiment with it.
Experimentation
We love exploring fresh musical terrain. Experimenting with different styles, sounds, and perspectives shapes the music we choose to perform.
Connection
Our work forges connections between people and music. By creating different listening experiences, we hope to spark lasting conversations in the communities we touch.
Dedication
We pursue musical visions and see them through. We’re dedicated to improving our craft and to a continuous learning mindset.
